Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration by any other journal.
  • The manuscript follows stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, and a complete PDF file (including all figures, tables, appendices, and any supplementary materials) is provided for the review process.

Original Research Paper

Original Research Papers reporting high quality original results of research (examples: pharmacogenomic study, pre-clinical study, bioinformatic tool, drug mechanism study, meta-analysis, intervention study, cohort study).

Structure of the main body of text:

  • Manuscript title
  • Full author names, affiliations, ORCID IDs and contact details of the corresponding author
  • Structured abstract (Background and Aim, Methods, Results, Conclusions) and keywords on a separate page in maximal 350 words
  • Manuscript text (maximal 5000 words)
  • Maximal 5 figures/tables, inserted in their intended places
  • References (maximal 60)

Review Article

Review Articles for a topic that has a general interest to the community.

Structure of the main body of text:

  • Manuscript title
  • Full author names, affiliations, ORCID IDs and contact details of the corresponding author
  • Unstructured abstract (max 350 words) and keywords as a separate page
  • Format for manuscript text may vary (maximal 8000 words)
  • Maximal 8 figures/tables, inserted in their intended places
  • References (maximal 200)

Commentary

Commentaries express points of view on scientific matters or published papers. Typically, Commentaries are solicited by the editors. A Commentary typically should not exceed 2000 words.

Letter to the Editor

Letters to the Editors: Brief letters (maximum of 1000 words, including references) will be considered for publication. Letters should not include figures and tables.
