Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Copyright Notice
You can choose from different publishing models in the "3. Enter Metadata" section. This is a mandatory step.
If the publishing model is not chosen properly, your current submission will be declined, and you will be asked to resubmit it, choosing a different publishing model
1. EISZ sponsored Open Access (only for authors affiliated to EISZ member institutions) - free of charge for authors
This can only be chosen by corresponding authors affiliated to EISZ member institutions. See the list here >>>
Please bear in mind that in case an EISZ member institution is chosen, your eligibility will first be checked and approved/declined by the EISZ administrator(s) of said institution. Please do not choose this model if your institution is not listed above!
2. Open Access covered by the Article Processing Charge (APC) waived by the journal
In practice, there are a number of funded waivers, courtesy of the University of Debrecen. If the corresponding author is not affiliated with an EISZ member institution, and in the unlikely event that funded waivers have run out, the APC is 1,100 EUR (including VAT, if applicable).
Please note that your free open access choice, even though approved at the time of submission, will depend on the number of waivers still available at the time of acceptance.
Note that in the unlikely event that the waivers run out and the APC is to be paid, production of your manuscript will commence only after the corresponding APC has been paid.
