Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Instructions to Author.
- The style of the references adheres to the requirements outlined in the Instructions to Author.
- I hereby understand and acknowledge that all submitted files will automatically be subject to plagiarism check (iThenticate) and I fully understand that my manuscript might be rejected without any further consideration if it contains uncited word-by-word quotations from copyrighted publications.

Please choose one of the available publishing models in the "3. Enter Metadata" section. This is a mandatory step!
If an incorrect publishing model is selected, your submission may be declined and you may be asked to resubmit it using the appropriate publishing model.
1. EISZ-sponsored Open Access (available only for authors affiliated to EISZ member institutions) - free of charge for authors
This option is available only to authors affiliated with an EISZ member institution.

Please bear in mind that in case an EISZ member institution is chosen, your eligibility will first be checked and approved/declined by the EISZ administrator(s) of said institution.
2. Open Access covered by the Article Processing Charge (APC) paid by the author

Please note that production of your manuscript can begin only after it has been accepted for publication and the applicable APC has been paid.
3. Subscription-based publishing (including a Green Open Access self-archiving option) - free of charge
The hybrid journals of AK still publish papers that are only accessible to the (online) subscribers; or readers can purchase access to individual articles. There is no fee for the authors of such papers.
