Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The submission may be scanned against plagiarism and AI-generated text! By submitting a manuscript, the author acknowledges and accepts that the editorial board may/will subject the manuscript to such a check to verify its originality. The purpose of the check is solely to ensure scientific integrity. The system does not disclose the content of the manuscript, share it with anyone, or use it for any purpose other than the check.   • I fully understand that my manuscript might be rejected without any further consideration if it contains uncited word-by-word quotations from copyrighted publications.

Copyright Notice

You can choose from different publishing models in the "3. Enter Metadata" section. This is a mandatory step.
If the publishing model is not chosen properly, your current submission will be declined, and you will be asked to resubmit it, choosing a different publishing model.

1. EISZ sponsored Open Access (only for authors affiliated to EISZ member institutions) - free of charge for authors
This can only be chosen for authors affiliated to a EISZ member institutions.

Please bear in mind that in case an EISZ member institution is chosen, your eligibility will first be checked and approved/declined by the EISZ administrator(s) of said institution.

2. Open Access covered by the Article Processing Charge (APC) paid by the author

Please note that production of your manuscript can only commence if your manuscript is accepted for publication and the corresponding APC has been paid.

3. Subscription-based publishing (Statement on publishing and usage license with Green Open Access extension) - free of charge
The hybrid journals of AK still publish papers that are only accessible to the (online) subscribers; or readers can purchase access to individual articles. There is no fee for the authors of such papers.
