Short description: A Multidisciplinary Journal for Translation and Interpreting Studies ACROSS LANGUAGES AND CULTURES is an international, double-blind peer-reviewed, multi- and interdisciplinary journal. It publishes original articles and book reviews on all sub-disciplines of Translation and Interpreting (T/I) Studies: general T/I theory, descriptive and applied T/I studies. Special emphasis is laid on process- and product-oriented investigations, translation strategies, universals of translation, discourse-oriented studies, questions of multilingualism in T/I, the role of translation in intercultural communication and multimedia translation, technology, machine translation and AI, education and training, ethical dimensions, sociological, cognitive and psycholinguistic approaches, globalization and localization, as well as specialised translation and interpreting. Publications on new research methods and models are encouraged. The journal’s language is English.
